PARENTS AT OM: Mental Health and Mindfulness for you and baby:
*This class is a six week series*
Caring for a child is a uniquely humbling experience for which modern life fails to prepare us in many ways. As a new parent, if you are experiencing exhilaration, overwhelm, anxiety, delight, longing, sadness, joy, and/or confusion, among many other feelings, you are not alone.
PARENTS AT OM offers parents practical and emotional support with a focus on mental health, mindfulness, and community-building.
Facilitator Rebekka Helford, licensed marriage and family therapist, creates a safe space in which to share parenting successes as well as challenges. Parents have ample opportunities to ask pressing questions and receive answers grounded in current neuroscience, attachment, and child development research.
Sessions also include opportunities to slow down and observe our little ones mindfully; informed by psychoanalytic and attachment theory, this practice deepens the parent-child relationship, strengthens parental self-awareness, promotes relaxation and emotional well-being, and helps parents become the caregivers they want to be. (4 Minimum sign ups required) **Only 1 make-up class allowed per series**
