Lauren is STOTT Pilates & Yoga Alliance Prenatal/ Postpartum Yoga certified, a Hypnobabies doula, and has a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement theory.
A firm believer in the importance of mind-body connection and the holistic benefits of this work, Lauren infuses her teaching with enthusiasm, humor and a personal connection that communicates her faith in the importance and joy of healthy movement.
She believes that Pilates and Yoga are transformative and empowering, lending clients a deep sense of agency in their own physical and personal experience, whatever that may mean for them.
What to expect
A class for Mom and/or Partner + Baby to build strength while practicing playful yoga and connecting with your baby and your community.(6 wks to pre-crawl)
A unique Four class series for partners that includes a simple yoga + breath work meditation warmup before each lively discussion.
Our goal is for partners to learn tools to support and comfort laboring mama with confidence.
We will meet over the course of FOUR (Sundays) for a total of 10-12 Hours.
In each BIRTH PREP series we will learn about:
- breathwork, movement, + nutrition
- informed consent topics
- hospital/ out-of-hospital birth procedures
- anatomy and stages of labor
- hands on techniques and comfort measures for labor.
