Hello Family!

It’s been a while hasn’t it?  Yes, I know.  Wanna know what I’ve been up to?  Check out my blog of my adventures at summer solstice last month.   For a while now I’ve been “constipated” with words and deeds.  It feels good to get un-stuck.  Join me this Sunday @ MOMS AT OM STUDIO to do a Kundalini Kriya and meditation for GETTING UN-STUCK!

KAKASANA: CROW
Here’s what Yogi Bhajan says about this pose:

Much more simple squat that you see, Crow improves circulation in thighs, buttocks, calves, neck and knees.  When you sit this way, you take up less space.  It’s useful if you find yourself in a crowded place.

How to do it:
Squat down.  Take feet about sitting bones distance apart.  Arms extended and resting on the tops of knees.

Modifications:
Roll up a yoga mat or blanket and place it under your heels for tight ankles.  For tender knees, practice against a wall squatting down as low as you can without tweaking the knees.

The Challenge:
Practice this pose for a few mins in the morning and a few mins in the evening for the rest of this week.  When we meet on Sunday, expect to see it in our warm up.
